Painting calms me. Painting in attractive and strong colors makes me feel better. Most of these paintings are also large, 24 x 18″, I don’t paint small or tiny paintings because I can see better what I am doing on large size paper, I also don’t use any masking fluid, just like I don’t use eraser when I draw. I simply don’t have either one.
Too bad, last year I got hardly to paint anything because of all injuries.

I have come to appreciate reds, oranges and yellows more with the passing years. The paintings are lovely, Inese, and I also enjoyed reading about your process. I worked in pen and ink back in my teens, only dabbled in colors back then. It has been a long, long time since I have attempted any artwork.

I agree, it’s always amazing what we can still learn even when we are older. I’m talking about me.
The world is big, and other blogs give us insight of what we never knew before.
